Movie day
Was out again, this time watching movie with the archery peeps. The film was not too bad, a jap film called UMIZARU 2. Its a continuation of a Jap Coast Guard movie. Quite exciting though some of the plot twists were a bit predictable. Some parts were quite silly, esp when Daisuke made a 10 min proposal on a sinking ship, via a cellphone, when the ship could blow up anytime. Best part is, the fiancee had her phone on loudspeaker which was broadcasting to all the search and rescue ships, and almost everyone at the scene, + TV Crews.
Talk about getting cornered! I wonder how would I propose to my girl? LOL! Nvm, I think I'll work on getting a girlfriend first before I worry about that part. =D
Took a walk around Orchard before heading to meet them for the movie. I realised I haven't really leisurely strolled Orchard road for a long time. The last few times I was there, I was either working and rushing like hell, or I was visiting my grandma, and rushing like hell. Spent like an hour at HMV, just chilling and listening to free music. *BIG WIDE GRIN* Stood like almost 25mins at this particular album, and was seriously contemplating getting it. Jazz album, as usual. The girl's called Olivia, a Japanese jazz singer. Though her voice isn't really the classic kinda jazz singer voice, (dunno how to describe), she really sounded pretty good. The album sounded good on a whole, and there was this song that was quite interesting. I think it was called "One Note Samba" or something, it sang with just ONE note... well not really. Haha. I liked her version of "So nice" and "Kiss Me." No, Kiss me is not really jazz, but hell, it sounded great.
Another good jazz artist I heard was Peter Grant. Usual low and deep kinda voice. T'was another album that I considered... BEFORE I heard the Olivia one.
Besides bumming at HMV, I took a casual stroll about the rest of the places. Paragon etc.. Never realised that Paragon was really the shopping centre for extremely branded goods. Anyways, just stood around to do some window shopping, spent as much time as I liked. Its a luxury I don't really get unless I'm on my own. Kinda lonely, but it beat staying at home. And I definitely did NOT want to stay home.
Met Weiyi and his friend (whats his name? I can't remember names for nuts) at Far East for makan. Chicken rice.... again. LOL! Had chicken rice for the past few days... After makan, met the rest, (sam and bern) at cineleisure. Well, I didn't actually MEET them. I had to go to the toilet... again. Had to run for the loo outside twice today. Bummer. Something's wrong with my stomach lately. Damn.
Slacked around after movie at some Starbucks. Really fun to hang around, but unfortunately I had to go party pooping, and leave earlier. Wanted to avoid the tense situation at home by actually coming home early. And it worked... hence I'm blogging here in a relatively good mood.
K, thats all for today. Gonna go zzz soon. Gotta wake up for AGM tmr.
listening to the rain...
